Destination weddings are always a lot of fun but can be a challenge to plan and execute – not to mention the cost! Here on the Gulf Coast, Galveston provides the perfect location for a destination wedding – close enough to make planning easy, and venues come with history, sea breezes, and, if you’re lucky, a great view. There are beautiful hotels, historical landmarks, the beach–all the things you need for your get away wedding. One of our favorite places on the island is Hotel Galvez and Spa – did you know it’s one of the most haunted hotels in the country? It’s owned by the Wyndham Hotels, who also own the Tremont House and Harbor House on Pier 21. Our couple Courtney and Micah chose it for their gorgeous destination wedding and what a great choice it was! The ceremony space was beautiful and the colors Courtney chose looked spectacular in the Veranda Room. C. Baron Photography shoots lots of weddings in Galveston at historical venues such as Garten Verein, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bishop’s Palace, and Galveston Railroad Museum. Galveston Historical Foundation is a great place for information on these fantastic historical venues. So much to offer–so much fun!
